​CHO Eunphil : From a Small Room, a White Dawn

‘블루’를 매개로 기억과 감정, 내면을 탐색해온 조은필의《하얀 새벽, 작은 방으로부터(From a Small Room, a White Dawn)》는 루프랩 부산의 기획 프로젝트 전시이다. 시간의 흐름에 따라 변형되고 재구성되는 기억의 풍경을 구현한 미디어 작업 「내 안의 공간」과 설치 작업 「채울 수 없는 꿈」을 통해, 작가는 서로 다른 시간들이 교차하고 중첩되는 층위를 형성하며, 이를 하나의 공간 안에 공존하는 상태로 드러내기 위해 사물과 장소를 블루로 덮고 확장시킨다.

단일 색으로 점유된 공간과 반복적으로 증식하는 오브제는 익숙한 현실의 감각을 이탈시키고 비현실적 장면을 형성한다.

이러한 환경은 관람자로 하여금 시각적 압도와 심리적 몰입을 유도하며, 기억의 구성과 변형 과정을 감각하게 한다.

Exploring memory, emotion, and the inner self through the medium of “blue,” Cho Eunphil’s <From a Small Room, a White Dawn> is presented as a curated project within Loop Lab Busan.
Through the media work [The Space Within Me] and the installation [An Unfillable Dream], which visualize landscapes of memory that are transformed and reconstructed over time, the artist constructs layered temporalities where different moments intersect and overlap. By covering and expanding objects and spaces in blue, Cho Eunphil reveals these multiple temporal dimensions as coexisting within a single spatial condition. A space saturated with a single color, along with endlessly proliferating objects, disrupts the familiarity of everyday perception and produces a surreal scene. This environment induces both visual overwhelm and psychological immersion, allowing viewers to sensorially experience the processes through which memory is formed and transformed. ​
