어컴퍼니는 신한카드와 함께 새롭게 선보이는 The Preview 한남에서 손선경 작가의 [불안의 무게]를 선보인다.
[불안의 무게]는 자아와 타자, 개인과 집단, 환경과 인간 사이에서의 문제 의식으로부터 생겨난 총체적인 불안감에서 시작한 작품이다. 작가의 복합적인 불안감이 한 개 한개의 점으로 표현되며, 반복된 점들은 그 불안의 무게만큼의 돌덩이가 된다.
이번 The Preview 한남에서는 반복적 행위를 흑백 드로잉을 이용한 애니메이션으로 시각화함으로써 무덤덤한 반복의 미학을 보여주고 있는 손선경 작가의 불안이 담긴 이 돌덩이들을 드로잉과 애니메이션으로 만나볼 수 있다.
동양화에서 출발한 최근 몇 년간 애니메이션을 이용한 영상 작업을 전개하고 있는 손선경 작가는 반복적인 리듬이나 지속성에 관심을 가지며 극도로 몰 개성한 인물들의 반복적 행위를 흑백 드로잉을 이용한 애니메이션으로 시각화함으로써 무덤덤한 반복의 미학을 보여주고 있다.
동양화와 뉴미디어를 전공하였고, 주 프랑스 한국문화원, OCI 미술관, 아웃사이트, 옵스큐라, 무목적 등에서 개인전을 가졌으며 다양한 프로젝트와 기획전에 참여했다. 최근에는 밴드 피터팬 콤플렉스와의 콜라보레이션 작업 등 그 영역을 확장시키며 활발하게 활동 중이다.

[The Weight of Anxiety] is a work that begins with a sense of total anxiety arising from the consciousness of problems between the self and the other, the individual and the group, and the environment and humans. The artist's complex anxiety is expressed as a single point, and the repeated points become a stone as much as the weight of the anxiety.
In this art fair, you can meet these stones filled with the anxiety of artist SON, Seon-Kyung through drawings and animations.
Artist SON, Seon-kyung, who has been showing video work using animation in recent years, starting from Oriental painting, is interested in repetitive rhythms and persistence, and visualizes the repetitive actions of extremely indifferent characters through animation using black and white drawings.
