김가현 작가는  제주에서 수집한 쓰레기와 폐기물들을 사용해 조각물을 만들고 그 조각물에 프로젝션 맵핑을 더해 새로운 모습으로 구현하였다.  전시에서는 일련의 과정을 담은 다큐멘터리 영상을 함께 선보인다.

 

전시가 끝난 조각물은 다시 재활용해 생활에 필요한 물건으로 제작하여 버려진 , 쓰레기에 다시 생명을 부여하는 과정을 진행하게 된다. 이 모든 과정을 통해 작가는 관람객들에게도  버려진 것들의 무가치한 본질을 자신만의 방법을 통해 가치 있는 것으로 전환해 볼 수 있는 기회를  갖게 되기를 바란다.

Abandoend ( * < )는 버려진 것들과 우리, 더 나아가 우리가 관계하고 있는 지구의 모든 물질과 환경에 대해 한번 더 생각해 보게 하려는 프로젝트이다.​

Artist Kim Ga-hyun created a sculpture using trash and waste collected from Jeju and implemented it in a new way by adding projection mapping to the sculpture. In this exhibition, a documentary video containing a series of processes will be presented together.

 

After the exhibition, the sculpture is recycled and made into objects necessary for life, and the process of giving life back to discarded garbage is carried out. Through all of these processes, the artist hopes that visitors will have the opportunity to convert the worthless nature of the abandoned things into valuable things through their own methods.

 

Abandoend ( * < ) is a project to make us think twice about the abandoned things and us, and furthermore, all the materials and environments on Earth we are involved in.
